This has to be the best negative LCD display I have encountered on a Casio watch that isn't Memory In Pixel (MIP) technology. Maybe it's because the area on the lower two thirds that displays the time, date, day, timer, stopwatch and dual time is so large, or maybe it's the tech used in this model ... Whatever it is, it just works, even at extreme angles and in dim light! I'm really impressed and while I am a fan of negative displays, the poor legibility of other models (LCD) have always steered me towards positive displays. This was my main reason for buying this watch and it's a keeper. Everything else is standard G-Shock goodness — 200m of water resistance, a rugged case that will more than likely outlive you in a bomb blast, world time, 5 alarms, 5 timers, a stopwatch, and then the two other stand out features, the vibe/vibration alarm and the lower button on the right of the case that activates the countdown timer without having to cycle through the modes to get there. My only gripe is that the dual time does does not show the local time while showing the world time on the same screen, instead it shows the month and date. That's the only reason for the four star rating. Aside from this, this watch is for anyone who wants a blacked-out, stealthy bullet-proof watch that oozes tactical and retro vibes. Its shape sits somewhere between the shape of the square/DW5600 and the octagon of the Casioak/GA-2100. While there isn't Tough Solar, the battery should last around 5 years depending on your usage of the functions, specifically how much you play with the LED light, there's two of them that lights up the display, quite blindingly and thus effectively — you could use it as a torch. This watch seems to have flown under the radar and it was by pure luck a new work colleague was wearing it on his wrist. If it hadn't been for him I might never have given this particular model a second glance. They have been discontinued so if you are interested in a negative display G-Shock that isn't MIP, don't wait too long.

Great service again from TCS :) I have bought a number of Casio watches from them over the last few years and I have found them reliable, the watches are carefully packed and I haven't had an issue where a watch was damaged and had to be returned. A big shout to you and the team!
